3.3.2 Backward compatability

Hi there,

I just upgraded to 3.3.2 and I am now a bit worried that the indexing of the split heater (and possibly other string functions) changed form zero (0) as the start to one (1) as the start.

If this is true, then it means the scripts are not backwards compatable and I might have to downgrade again?

Could you please confirm, since I have a very large number of scripts and would not want to wade through all of them to check/change the indexing?

Hi Heinz,

Don’t worry. One of the most important thing during the development and improvement of new versions is the backwards compatibility. In case you open an old FlowHeater definition file with a newer FlowHeater version, the definition were converted first (into the memory) to the new definition format. Also the index values are converted.
I can guarantee that your old definition files works well without modifications with the newest FlowHeater version of course.

Note: You cannot open a newer FlowHeater definition file with an older version! You got an error message if you try to do this.
