File monitoring does not work was created by FlowHeater-Team
Hi
I have the server up and running but the file monitoring does not seem to work.
I drop the file into the folder but the task does not work it doesn’t seem to run automatically and when run manually it asks to select a file.
Can you advise?
Thanks for help
Chris

Hi Chris,
In case you run a File Monitoring Task manually you have to specify which file you want to processed because there is no file dropped into the certain folder. This option is just to test the task or perform a file manually.
Why the task is not triggered? I guess you have specified a wrong Wildcard or Trigger method. First try to use "*.*" Another issue could be some application like FTP use a temporary file name and after complete transmission the file just renamed. For troubleshooting just enable all file monitoring trigger and see what happened.
To have a deeper look into the server you could switch on the "Log Level" under the Configuration Tab to "Debug", click the save button and afterward go to the Logging Tab and press the "Start" button. Now you can trace the whole Server processing.
