Extended Logging was created by JD Cox
Hey Robert,
I use extended logging now and it seems you cannot use a parameter in the log file name, is there a way to do this? Also, I’m trying to find more information on ‘Use Batch defined log file’. I’ve searched the forum and the documentation and this is all I was able to find:
Logging
Activate extended logging: This permits you to specify whether the Adapter should note what actions are performed in a specified logfile. When you check the “Append” option it will add to the end of any existing records, otherwise the logfile will be emptied prior to recording the log.
Use Batch defined log file: When you check this option the Adapter will use the logfile defined for the batch run for recording.
I do not want to take up too much of your time so if you could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, JD

I did find some more info here:
https://flowheater.net/news/418-automatic-codepage-recognition-utf-unicode
Not sure if it's what I need or not. Main thing I would like to do is use a parameter in the file name creation.

Hi JD,
In case you use the Adapter extended logging and you enable the option “Use Batch defined log file” you have to specify the log file with the Batch Module option /Logfile [Filename]
For example: FHBatch.exe /LogFile C:\Temp\extended.log C:\Data\import.fhd
By now the latest version doesn´t support FlowHeater Parameter into the extended logging log file option. This feature has been implemented now with the current Beta Version 4.2.1.1 Beta6. Please find the download links below.
Beta Version Download
FlowHeater Beta 32 Bit
FlowHeater Beta 64 Bit
FlowHeater Server Beta
